HISTORY: Abigail’s life started in blood and violence. As soon as she was born, she was separated from her family through kidnapping and her mother killed in bed. Her father was led into a trap and killed in his attempt to recover his daughters. His right hand man, Valefor, took over and managed to save Abigail and Elizabeth. But Abigail, being the smaller of the twins, was weak and did not receive the proper treatment. She fell into fever and was bedridden the first 5 years of her life. At the age of 6, she killed her first man and went blind.
With her blindness came swift recovery. Valefor knew Abigail was the one to rule (Tom and Seth were both adopted so they were obsolete as heirs, and Elizabeth showed no signs of capability), so he trained her as soon as she was able. In her anger towards the world, she learned miraculously well and soon surpassed them all. Easily, at the age of 15, she became the leader of the Askari Hunters.
RELATIONSHIPS: She holds none. But a young private detective named Jette Vaughnel is interested in her, from what little he knows of her.

HISTORY: Elizabeth was kidnapped at birth alongside with Abigail. As a little girl, she watched the violence and shameful banishment of her family and her sick twin sister. From then on she decided she wanted no part of this life. She immediately began expressing her feelings. Valefor had hoped she would become captain as Abigail was sick, but Elizabeth detested the idea. She hated everyone in the Askari family and held no respect for their history or purpose. She went to public school like everyone else and mingled with “normal” people.

PERSONALITY: Valefor is an iron man. He is trustworthy and reliable. He holds great respect for everyone, most especially Abigail and Abraham. He never lets the small things get to him and tries to work things out through the positive side of things. He doesn’t talk much, nor is he very expressive.

HISTORY: Valefor was born into the Askari family and has been with them ever since. As a boy, he was always stuck with Abraham, and they soon grew to be incredibly close friends. They fought together, laughed together, trained and learned together. They were nigh inseparable. They celebrated everything together, from the adoption of new members into the family to the wedding of Abraham and his wife. It was a given that Abraham choose Valefor as his right hand man when Abraham became head of the family. It was both a tragic and joyful event, as most of the time, the heads of families changed with the murder or death of the previous one. Abraham and Valefor knew each other inside and out and worked as the most efficient partnership in all of the Askari history. Together they were able to create one of the greatest Askari generations, as small as they were. But when Abraham was murdered and his daughters kidnapped, Valefor was at a loss. Absolute war had broken out and Abraham was not the only one to die. Many other Askari members died, along with his pregnant wife. With half his heart dead, his mind dysfunctional, he managed to bring back Elizabeth and Abigail back alive. He took it upon himself to raise and teach the new head of the family, hoping and wishing that they’ll live up to the honor Abraham had set.

HISTORY: Seth was adopted by Abraham when Seth was 9, almost right after Tom was adopted. Seth’s family had died from a great fire. He had a good childhood with his birth family and was quite devastated from the fire. But with Abraham’s help and the company of Tom and the entire family, Seth fit in well. He got along well with everyone and was loved mightily by Abraham. He was educated and trained for combat, as was tradition. As part of the immediate family, he was given special training to further expand his combat abilities. He grew knowledgeable in all things military. When Abraham was killed, Seth felt it was his responsibility to take care of his siblings. He knew from the start he’d never be heir so he took it upon himself to take care of Elizabeth and Abigail. He feels it is his fault for Elizabeth’s failure and often goes on guilt trips.
RELATIONSHIPS: 3-year relationship with a young woman named Claire Moore but had to end it when the infections grew increasingly often and dangerous. He still loves her but cannot be with her because of what he does.

PERSONALITY: Tom is quiet. He is prompt and on task, never forgetting a thing. He keeps everything in order as both the secretary and treasurer of the family. He’s very knowledgeable of their family history and loves learning. He’s quite studious. But he also has a mean temper. Despite his loving nature and attitude towards Abigail, he has little patience to deal with other people’s issues, such as Elizabeth’s whining. After Abigail and Valefor, Tom is the next person everyone is afraid of.

HISTORY: Abraham picked up Tom when Tom was 2 years old. He had been left out on the streets to die when his birth family could no longer afford to support him. He holds no bitterness towards them and was eternally grateful to Abraham. He was struck the hardest when Abraham was killed. Abraham had given him a whole new world and he was taken from him before he could show what he did with the gift of life. Because Tom was never taught how to fight, he was the one who sat by Abigail’s side. He read books; all kinds of books, all the time. He read Abigail stories to keep her entertained. He gave her the education lessons that were necessary. He continued to be her tutor when she was able to get out of bed. At the same time, Tom also received schooling for medicine and became one of the youngest doctors to be initiated into society. But Tom keeps his medicinal practices specifically to his extended family and no other. Even still he continues to study, not just medicine, but everything and anything he can get his hands on. While everyone is out fighting, he’s stuck at home.

HISTORY: Ajax was a street kid. He survived by preying on people’s pockets and taking things when people weren’t looking. He grew so skilled, in fact, that it didn’t matter anymore of the victim was looking or not. He became infected by Greed at the age of 14 and then isolated by the other street kids because of the changes he was going through. He was labeled as a freak and monster and left to fend for himself with no friends. At the age of 16, he joined a gang headed by a man that was possessed by the demon Greed himself. There, his powers and side effects grew more intense. But again, he was shoved aside as a freak and monster. The leader of the gang had him chained up to a wall where every day, the sun would leak into the cell and burn both his legs as the sun rose from the east and set in the west. He was half dead when the Askari barged into the gang headquarters and eliminated the gang leader. Greed had escaped, leaving his host in search of a new one. Abigail chose to invite Ajax under her wing and for the first time he felt he wasn’t being treated as a monster. He immediately swore to her his loyalty. He fell in love with Tom when Tom treated his legs. Ajax thought Tom to be a woman and was socked in the face for it. Signs of a budding love relationship.
Ever since then, Ajax has been doing reconnaissance and espionage missions for the Askari Hunters.

For a long while he contemplated on leaving the Askari’s, wanting to live a normal and peaceful life, but he came to realize nothing was ever going to be normal and peaceful if nobody did anything about it. So in memory of her, he continues to serve the Askari family with devotion.
